Overview

Qrmlox (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal candle burn journal for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Qrmlox, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Data you create in the app

Qrmlox stores the content you add locally on your device, including:

• Candle and scent library entries (names, brands, notes, photos)
• Burn session logs (duration, ratings, rooms, moods, notes)
• Photos and optional voice notes attached to sessions
• Scheduled burn reminders you configure
• In-app coin balance used for exports

We do not require an account. This journal data is not uploaded to our servers by default.

Device permissions

With your permission, the app may access:

• Camera — to photograph candles and burn scenes when you choose to add a photo
• Photo Library — to import images you select and to save mood board exports you request
• Microphone — to record optional voice notes when you tap Record
• Notifications — to deliver Scheduled Burn reminders you set in the app
• App Tracking Transparency (optional) — if you allow tracking on iOS, the identifier may be used to improve the app experience. You can decline and still use all features.

You can change these permissions anytime in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Coin packs are sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment and may collect billing information according to Apple’s privacy policy. We receive purchase confirmation and product identifiers to credit coins in the app. Coins are consumable, stored on your device, and are not restorable across devices unless backed up with your device data.

How We Use Information

• Display and organize your candle journal on your device
• Generate insights, charts, and exports you request
• Send local notifications for reminders you schedule
• Process in-app purchases and apply coin credits
• Improve stability and features of the app

We do not sell your personal journal content.

Data Storage & Security

Your journal is stored locally in the app’s sandbox on your iPhone. Photos and voice notes are saved in the app’s private storage area. We recommend keeping your device passcode and iOS backups enabled if you want to preserve your data.

You can delete all app data at any time from the in-app menu: Drawer → Clear All Data. This permanently removes candles, sessions, media, and preferences from the device.

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store — distribution and in-app purchases
• Apple iOS — camera, photos, microphone, notifications, and system sharing sheets

When you export or share content (PDF, mood board, text summary), you choose the destination via iOS share sheets.

Children’s Privacy

Qrmlox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will assist with deletion on the device.

International Users

Because data is stored on your device, it remains under your control and subject to your local laws and Apple’s platform policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
